Who can attend? 

The camp is open to all boys and girls, ages 13–17 (and 18, if a graduating senior). Fencers must be USFA registered.

What weapons are offered?

Foil, epee, and saber! We have coaches that have experience in all three weapons.

When is the camp?

The week-long camp will be run July 21–27, 2019.

Is it a day-camp or a sleep-away camp?

Either! Residential and commuter options are available. Meals are included for all campers. Lodging is provided for camp residents.

What is the cost? 

The cost varies depending on whether the athlete is a resident or a commuter.

  • Resident: $1,295 per week, which includes 3 meals/day and lodging

  • Commuter: $1,150 per week, which includes daily lunch and dinner

Where is the camp? 

Located in a suburban campus atmosphere, the camp is held at Drew University in Madison, New Jersey in an air-conditioned gym.

The Drew Rangers Fencing Camp provides individual lessons and group instruction daily. We provide physical training as well as specific instruction in the art of fencing. Lessons are geared to teach students: 

  • Competitive strategy and tactics of fencing

  • Combat logic

  • Bout structure

  • Fencing footwork and weapon technique

  • Timing

  • Mobility

  • Situational variation

Additionally, we provide lectures and seminars that address valuable subjects not usually taught at schools or club training programs, including:

  • Nutrition and hydration

  • Competitive psychology

  • Injury avoidance

  • Training calendar

  • Cross-training options
